The neurodivergent Social Worker is excited to launch its campaign Neurodivergent Social Work Voices! The vision is to increase representation of neurodivergent social workers across the profession, increase knowledge about neurodivergent profiles and increase conversations in social work about neuro-inclusion… for social workers and clients.
In the first conversation I speak with Kerry, a Dyslexic child and families social worker. Kerry talks about the impact of working in a fast-paced statutory social worker environment and explores different tools which help her manage. Kerry discusses how being neurodivergent helps her form relationships and engage with young people during visits. Kerry finally tells us about the importance of challenging our inner negative thought cycles and the importance of embracing who we are!
