11. Neurodivergent Social Work Voices Campaign: Max

In today’s conversation, I am talking with Max a social worker with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) who works with children and families. In our conversation, Max explains what OCD is and dispels some myths and stereotypes we often see in the media and in movies. Max discusses the importance of structure in managing anxious thoughts. Max shares how having a supporting and understanding employer has supported him in the workplace as it helps him manage thoughts of uncertainty. Max tells us how having a capped caseload can prevent him from feeling overwhelmed.
