Today I am speaking to Deb an ADHDer social worker working with adults. Deb founded with British Association of Social Workers Neurodivergent Social Work Special Interest Group (SIG) and is also a Practice educator. In our conversation, Deb discusses how being a neurodivergent practice educator enables her to support neurodivergent social work students and upskill other practice educators to work with neurodivergent students or newly qualified social workers. Deb talks about the vision of the SIG and what drove her to create a space for neurodivergent social worker to talk to one another and fight for change. Finally, Deb discusses how being neurodivergent and passionate for change means we commit our whole selves and heart to what we do no matter the challenge.
