6. Neurodivergent Social Work Voices Campaign: SarahSarah

Today I am speaking with Sarah a Dyslexic, Dyspraxic, Autistic and ADHDer social worker working with children and families. During our conversation, Sarah discusses the importance of getting to know neurodivergent social workers as individuals rather than assuming we are the same. Sarah states, when you’ve met one Dyslexic social worker, you’ve met one dyslexic social worker. Sarah explores how encountering problems, barriers and challenges as a neurodivergent person has helped her build skills in problem-solving which she applies to her practice to this day. Sarah also discusses how having a supportive and curious manager is the reason she will not be looking for a new role any time soon!
